PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE UNABLE TO SIGN BHS ASSESSMENT PREPARATION LOG BOOKS WITH IN THE ONE MONTH PERIOD PRIOR TO YOUR ASSESSMENT DATE. TO SIGN OFF RIDING UNITS WE WILL REQUIRE TO SEE YOU IN EACH DISCIPLINE ON AT LEAST THREE DIFFERENT HORSES ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASION.
BHS STAGE 1 ASSESSMENT DATES

TRAINING
BHS Stage 1 Riding and Care assessments are currently run on an internal candidate basis and applications should be made to the centre and fees paid accordingly, the assessment Fee is £280. The next assessment date is 16th February 2024. Please contact BHS Education to book.
Training for Stage 1 riding can be bespoke to suit and we hold an hour care session every Friday Morning 11am (Cost £12.50). We recommend you bring the skills record booklet and get signed off when you are competent and practiced at each task. Skills record books can be purchased from the BHS bookshop online.

All training in a small group with Sandra Morrison BHSI (Lead Assessor) and will cover BHS stage 3 teach syllabus and will also include practical teaching. Dates listed below
Participants must have BHS Stage 2 ride and care or equivalent. £75 session runs 9.30 till 1.30pm. Skills record can be signed off if the candidate is up to the level.
**Please note we have a maximum weight limit of 13st (82.5kg)**
