Murton is an ever growing registered Pony Club Centre, providing a range of Pony Club activities throughout the year, including gymkhanas, weekly meetings, training, badge days and parties!

Pony Club is open to anyone under the age of 21 and encourages children to work together to develop their understanding of horses whilst expanding horse care and riding skills. Members will be encouraged to work through achievement badges, which are recognised by the British Horse Society.

The objectives of The Pony Club are:

  • to encourage young people to ride and to learn to enjoy all kinds of sport connected with horses and riding
  • to give instruction in riding and horsemastership and to educate members
  • to look after and to take proper care of their animal
  • to promote the highest ideals of sportsmanship, citizenship and loyalty
  • to create strength of character and self-discipline

With Pony Club at Murton children can learn more about horsecare whilst making new friends and having lots of fun!
