Volunteering at our Centre

Adult Volunteers (18yrs plus) - Please fill out the application form here

This role includes assisting with:

  • Mucking out stables
  • Catching and turning out horses
  • Grooming
  • Tacking up and untacking the horses
  • Plus many more jobs

Volunteering in this area is best done on a half or full day basis. This then allows us to plan more effectively.

Times are as follows Tuesday to Friday each week:

  • 9am till 12 noon 
  • 1pm - 5pm 
  • 5pm till 8pm

Weekend times are Saturday and Sunday:

  • 8am - 12 noon
  • 1pm - 5pm 

 

What skills do I need?

  • An interest in helping individuals including those with special needs to develop new skills
  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • Adaptability
  • Good sense of fun
  • Experience with horses is essential 
  • Riding School Assistant Award Certificate 

Riding School Assistant Training Sessions 

Riding School Assistants (13 to 18yrs) - Require Riding School Assistant Certificate to attend sessions. 

Various evening slots 'BHS RSA Training' through out the week, please click on each date for details. 

Riding School Assistant booklets (available from reception) cost £5 and must be signed off after training has been completed and competance is shown in all aspects. ​
